Hertz Introduces Tesla Roadster Electric Vehicles Into Fleet at Show Biz Expo on May 7th

Hertz continues to expand its electric vehicle fleet and offers premium model for test-drives at five-star production tradeshow and conference.

PARK RIDGE, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 05/05/2011 -- The Hertz Corporation announced that it will introduce Tesla Roadsters, the electric supercar, into the Hertz Global EV fleet as part of Hertz Entertainment Services at the Show Biz Expo on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Hertz Entertainment Services will exhibit at the Show Biz Expo in the West Hall, Booth #420, which includes a Tesla ride-and-drive located nearby on Gilbert Lindsay Drive. Hertz will place two Tesla Roadsters in Los Angeles, California that will be available to rent by Entertainment Services customers immediately.

Offering up to 295 lbs-ft of torque and 288 horsepower, the Tesla Roadster smoothly can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds without a drop of gasoline. Engineered for efficiency, the zero-emission electric vehicle can drive 245 miles per charge. It plugs into nearly any outlet.
