Hertz Launches Double Points Reward, Enhances Sanitation

Data suggests that the COVID-19 lockdown has spurred a new wave of enthusiasm for staycations and road trips, and more Europeans would prefer to avoid public transportation due to safety concerns.

Hertz Launches Double Points Reward, Enhances Sanitation

In an effort to attract customers while upholding safety, Hertz is offering double Gold Plus Points in conjuction with its Gold Standard Clean, a 15-point enhanced car cleaning process that follows World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines.

Data suggests that the COVID-19 lockdown has spurred a new wave of enthusiasm for staycations and road trips. Additionally, more than a quarter (29%) of Europeans would prefer to avoid public transportation due to safety concerns and Hertz sanitized rental solutions can offer travelers more peace of mind.

Hertz Gold Standard Clean is an enhanced cleaning and sanitization process that concludes with each vehicle being sealed for assurance before each rental. 

Wider cleanliness and safety actions are also in place including staff retraining, mandatory use of personal protection equipment and social distancing procedures, to protect employees, customers, and the communities where Hertz operates. 

With customers turning their thoughts to domestic travel, Hertz is launching a new, double points offer for all Gold Plus Rewards members who book directly online

The Gold Plus Rewards program allows members to skip the counter and go straight to their car maintaining social distancing throughout their rental experience. Members can also earn points redeemable for reward rental days and benefit from complimentary upgrades providing the ultimate in car rental satisfaction. 

The Hertz Gold Standard Clean will be rolled out across all European locations from June 15. Gold Plus Rewards double points offer is available in the U.S. and will also be available across Europe from June 15, valid through December 30.
