Hertz Marks Continued Growth and Expansion With Opening of 2,000th U.S. Hertz Local Edition Facility
The opening in Philadelphia is a major milestone in Hertz's overall growth strategy.
PARK RIDGE, NJ - The Hertz Corporation is celebrating its continued expansion with the opening of its 2,000th U.S. Hertz Local Edition (HLE) rental car facility today. The 2,000th HLE is located at 1700 Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, Pa., adjacent to the Windsor Suites hotel. To celebrate, Hertz is offering bonus Marriott Rewards points with Hertz Local Edition weekly rentals.
"Whether at the airport, in town, or in our customer's backyard, Hertz's goal is to have a full spectrum of transportation solutions and locations accessible to every consumer," said Mark P. Frissora, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for The Hertz Corporation. "The off airport rental market is a $10 billion industry and we've been aggressively growing our network of neighborhood locations. The opening of our 2000th off airport location, in downtown Philadelphia, is a major milestone for Hertz and we look forward to serving local area residents, corporate customers, and guests of the Windsor Suites hotel."
Hertz's 2,000th HLE - Marriott Promotion In honor of Hertz's 2,000th off airport Hertz Local Edition opening, the company will offer a limited-time promotion where customers can earn 2,000 Marriott Rewards points on weekly rentals (equivalent to 1,500 bonus points on top of the 500 base points) -- today through August 31, 2011. The promotion is valid for all car classes at participating off airport locations in the U.S. To receive the bonus points, renters must mention promotion code (PC#) 161324, Marriott discount number (CDP#) 154080 and their Marriott Rewards membership number at time of reservation.
As with other Hertz Local Edition facilities, the 2,000th location will offer:
A full range of vehicles including compact through full-size cars and SUVs
Special weekend, insurance, affordable leisure, and accident rental rates
Services including Pick-up, Drop-Off, Satellite Radio, Hertz NeverLost GPS, and Hertz #1 Club Gold(R) -- plus unlimited mileage
Direct billing to insurance companies and insurance replacement rentals
Hertz has led the way in redefining car rental on many fronts this year. In May, the company unveiled a new multi-platform campaign titled "The Gas & The Brake" designed to acknowledge the wide range of travel personalities and different wants, needs, and aspirations of each customer. In the same vein, Hertz unveiled two new national fleet collections -- the Adrenaline and Green Traveler Collections -- with a wide array of vehicles, from the fast-paced Mustang to the eco-conscious Toyota Prius. The company also revamped its loyalty program, Gold Plus Rewards, to make it easier for customers to earn free rentals from Hertz.
The Philadelphia location hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am - 12 noon, and the location is closed on Sunday. The location can be reached at 215-563-2760.
Serving the insurance replacement industry for more than 10 years, Hertz now has 2,000 off-airport locations nationwide, the majority of which offer pickup and delivery service, and is a recognized supplier to more than 186 of the 201 largest insurance companies.
