Hertz Names John Holt Leader of Advantage Rent A Car

John Holt has been appointed Vice President, Advantage Rent A Car, effective immediately, and reporting to the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mark P. Frissora.

PARK RIDGE, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 05/06/2011 -- The Hertz Corporation and Advantage Rent A Car today announced that John Holt has been appointed Vice President, Advantage Rent A Car, effective immediately, and reporting to the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mark P. Frissora. Holt succeeds Lois Boyd who was appointed to lead Hertz's equipment rental business on April 25, 2011.

Commenting on Holt's appointment, Mark Frissora said, "John has 16 years' experience leading airport and off-airport operations for Hertz in important leisure travel markets, including California and Florida, where Advantage is strong and growing. After two years in the Hertz family, Advantage is already generating annual run rate revenues of $290 million from 60 locations in the U.S. and Europe. John will help the Advantage team capitalize on its growing presence in the deep value segment of the car rental market."

Mr. Holt joined Hertz in 1995 as a Manager of its airport location in San Diego. Other key roles include Territory Manager in Los Angeles, Director of U.S. car rental field operations in the company's Park Ridge, New Jersey headquarters and, most recently, General Manager of Off-Airport operations in Southeast Florida. Prior to joining Hertz, John held sales and operations leadership roles for other companies, including roles with a leading national leisure rent a car company. He is a graduate of San Diego State University with a B.A. degree in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from California State University.
