Hertz On Demand Adds Vauxhaul Ampera in London
The Ampera was voted the Car of the Year 2012 for its ability to deliver between 25-50 miles of battery-powered electric drive with zero tailpipe emissions while driving and long-battery life that enables customers to travel up to 360 miles in a single trip.
Starting next month, Hertz On Demand customers in London will be able to rent the Vauxhall Ampera, under the Hertz Corp. partnership with Vauxhall Motors.
The Ampera incorporates Hertz On Demand technology by allowing representatives to “communicate” with the vehicle, enabling representatives to unlock, engage and locate vehicles. The Ampera was voted the Car of the Year 2012 for its ability to deliver between 25-50 miles of battery-powered electric drive with zero tailpipe emissions while driving and long-battery life that enables customers to travel up to 360 miles in a single trip.
There is also a hands-free audio kit that connects members to an in-house Member Care Center representative —available 24/7, 365 days a year if they have questions, need assistance or need to extend their reservation.
“At Hertz, we are excited about new technology and innovations in smart, eco-friendly travel,” said Michel Taride, president, Hertz International and executive VP, Hertz Corp. “This sleek car is perfect for our customers; not only is it fun to drive but also its range extender allows for longer trips.”
