PARK RIDGE, N.J. -- The Hertz Corp. has opened its first suburban facility in Hartford, Conn. The company hosted a grand-opening celebration for local area body shops and insurance companies last week.
The new operation is on Constitution Plaza, with easy access to I-84 and I-91 in downtown Hartford. The location offers a range of rental vehicles including minivans and premium vehicles, as well as compact through full-size cars.
Also available are pick-up and delivery service, insurance replacement, Hertz #1 Club Gold counter service and vehicles equipped with Hertz's in-car global positioning system, NeverLost. In addition, vehicles are available for rental with unlimited mileage. All rate structures are honored, including one-way, inter-city rates.
"The location represents Hertz's commitment to serving the local market and our commitment to meet all of our customers' rental needs, which includes special insurance replacement rates," said Pete Smith, Hertz division vice president for the New England Region.
To introduce itself to area body shops, service centers and insurance companies, Hertz's downtown Hartford location will host a grand opening reception on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. Representatives will be on hand to discuss Hertz services and how the company can assist customers whose cars are in the shop.
The full-service rental car facility is located at 108A Constitution Plaza in Hartford. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. through noon. The facility is closed on Sundays.
