Lyft has announced a pilot program with Hertz. Lyft drivers can rent Hertz vehicles at special daily, weekly and monthly rates, according to a Lyft blog.
Currently, the pilot program is live in Las Vegas for Lyft drivers.

No long-term lease commitment will be required for drivers to rent Hertz vehicles on-demand and earn money as a Lyft driver, says the report.
Additionally, Lyft has a new partnership with Shell Fuel Rewards. With the rewards program, the more you drive, the more you save. Based on the number of rides per week, a Lyft driver can earn a discount from 3 cents per gallon to several free tanks per week, according to the report.
Over the next few months, this pilot program with Shell will take place in several markets; it’s expected to roll out nationally to 12,500 Shell stations by early next year.
