Hertz Unveils Interactive Kiosks and eReturn
The kiosks allow customers to rent a car from a live representative outside a Hertz locations' normal operating hours, and in some locations 24 hours, seven days a week.
Hertz Corp. introduced ExpressRent kiosks, which offer airport and neighborhood location customers the ability to rent cars through a live, face-to-face video kiosk. The company also introduced express return (eReturn) service options, according to a Nov. 17 press release.
Customers using ExpressRent kiosks can complete an entire rental transaction while seeing and hearing a live remote rental representative. ExpressRent kiosks accept payment with a debit or credit card, validate a customer’s driver’s license and print the rental agreement, while providing customers with a full-service experience.
Customers can use an ExpressRent kiosk with or without an existing reservation. ExpressRent kiosks are available in Hertz airport and Hertz Local Edition locations along with partnering auto body shops and hotels. ExpressRent kiosks are currently available in more than 30 markets and will be expanded into an additional 18 markets by year end.
The eReturn program also allows Hertz Gold members to update their profile for free on Hertz.com. The profile updates include eReceipts, which allows customers to automatically receive a PDF version of their receipt sent to the e-mail on their Hertz Gold profile within 30 minutes of Hertz closing their rental agreement.
The update also includes a Hertz Fuel Purchase Option for members to automatically purchase a full tank of gas at the start of their rental. They can return the car with the gas at any level.
