HyreCar, a peer-to-peer carsharing marketplace that connects vehicle owners with potential drivers, can now directly sign up drivers for Lyft in Los Angeles.
The majority of vehicles on HyreCar’s platform come pre-certified for ridesharing under Lyft’s vehicle requirements, according to the company.
Lyft drivers (21 years and older) can sign up through HyreCar’s website and mobile app. Rental options can be done by the day, week, or month.
"We're very excited about this partnership,” said Mike Brockhoff, driver supply lead of Lyft Los Angeles. “Drivers under 25 are an important demographic for us to capture, and HyreCar's vehicle solutions are the ideal fit to help us expand our market presence, both in Los Angeles and beyond."
"Working directly with Lyft is a huge step towards our company's ultimate goal, which is to empower and connect communities through sharing and on-demand opportunity," said Joe Furnari, CEO of HyreCar.
Based in Los Angeles, HyreCar currently operates in 26 U.S. states.
