Investor's $5M Funds Silvercar Expansion

A filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has revealed that Austin-based Silvercar, the app-based car rental operation, collected $5 million from a lone investor, according to a report by Austin Business Journal.
According to SEC filings, Silvercar reported a $6 million round of financing from six inventors in 2013, says the report.
Since Silvercar launched its silver Audi A4 rental service in 2012, it has opened six airport locations, including Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
