The Irish Examiner reported April 27 that Ireland-based Dan Dooley Group Ltd., owners of Dooley Car Rentals, saw operating profits rise 15% to $890,975 for 12 months ending Nov. 2012.
Ireland’s largest independent car rental firm, operating 20 locations including all major airports, said its profits increased after gross profit went up 40% from $7.7 million to $10.8 million in 2012; however, the group incurred a 6% drop in pre-tax profits. The company attributed the drop to the global economic recession.
“However, the company expects an increase in tourism in Ireland and has set about expanding its business to meet the anticipated demand,” the report stated.
