Greencar, a car sharing company in Seoul, Korea, reported June 7 that after launching in October 2011 the company now boasts 50,000 members in 12 main cities, at 200 sites nationwide.
According to GreenCar, a survey revealed that the vehicles are mainly used for business travel by 25- to 35-year-old men or by stay-at-home moms as a second car. Reserving through Greencar can be done through the company’s mobile app. The service is membership based and cars can be reserved by the hour with additional hourly rates.
