Localiza Partners with Mobility Company to Create Apps
Brazilian-based car rental company Localiza has selected Kony Inc., a mobility company, to build mobile apps for its car rental services, including an app for customers to make reservations and an app for shuttle airport pickup.
Brazilian-based car rental company Localiza has selected Kony Inc., a mobility company, to build mobile apps for its car rental business, as well as its local franchise, car sales and fleet solutions.
Founded in 1973 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Localiza has a network of 542 car rental branches and franchises in Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, and serves more than four million customers across 350 cities.
Impressed by Kony’s ability to design and build mobile apps across multiple devices and operating systems, Localiza chose Kony’s Mobility Platform and solutions for its enterprise-wide mobility strategy, says the company.
Kony will help Localiza build several consumer-facing and employee productivity mobile apps, including a mobile app for its car rental customers to use to make reservations, a shuttle airport pickup app for customers, a field services app for Localiza’s representatives to efficiently manage car rental return checkout processes and a desktop app to support its car rental contracting process.

Kony customers include global banks, health care providers, automotive, manufacturing, travel, hospitality and retail organizations.
