Ride-sharing company Lyft has launched a rewards program for drivers as a way to say thank you for offering rides to its customers, according to the company’s website.
Accelerate is set up as a tiered program. Drivers start at silver status and receive support for taxes, health insurance options and vehicle purchases, according to the website.
Once drivers reach 20 rides each month, they’ll move up to gold status and receive discounts for car expenses, entertainment as well as wellness services like gym memberships.
For drivers that reach 200 rides per month, they would move up to the final tier: platinum. This tier offers VIP support to drivers — their message to the Lyft headquarters will be moved to the front of the queue for the fastest reply, according to the website.
