Montreal City Officials Propose Car Sharing Initiative
Montreal is looking to expand car sharing in the city by the end of this year and is holding public consultations to discuss the service.
The Montreal Gazette reported April 3 that Montreal, Canada aims to establish car sharing in the city by the end of this year.
The city is launching a series of public consultations on the self-serve car service for the Société de transport de Montréal, parking bureau Stationnement de Montréal, the taxi industry and citizens to participate.
Both car2go in Vancouver and Communauto in Quebec offered to run the program as independent operators for the city.
