National Car Rental announced a summer promotion that will give customers who book weekly and weekend car rentals 10% off the retail base rates.

Customers who book a rental on www.nationalcar.com/summer on or before June 14 will receive the discounted rate. The discount will qualify for all vehicle rentals booked for pick up now through Aug. 31 and applies to all car classes.

"At National, we know travel costs can increase during the busy summer season, and we want to help alleviate some of that burden for travelers," said Rob Connors, National vice president of brand marketing. "Providing an opportunity to reduce summer travel costs is our way of both thanking our loyal customers and giving new customers added incentive to experience National's services for the first time."
