Orbitz Drops U-Save, ACE and Payless
CHICAGO --- Orbitz has decided against renewing contracts with three of its car rental partners: U-Save Auto Rental, ACE Rent A Car and Payless Car Rental.
CHICAGO --- Orbitz has decided against renewing contracts with three of its car rental partners: U-Save Auto Rental, ACE Rent A Car and Payless Car Rental.
Orbitz reached a similar decision in the spring, when the company opted to let its contract with Vantis expire without renewing it. As a result, the Vantis chain codes and their associated brands -– RentRite, New Frontier, VIP Cars and Independent Auto Rental -– are no longer displayed on Orbitz.
Orbitz has declined to comment on its contracts with car rental partners and the criteria for contract renewal. The company is owned by Cendant Corp., which also owns Avis and Budget.
