Payless Launches iPhone, iPod Touch Optimized Web Site
Users can point their iPhone or iPod Touch devices to the site to book rentals.
Payless Car Rental has built a customized version of its Web site for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The slimmed-down version of its Web site allows iPhone and iPod Touch users to book a car in three steps.
Users can book through the interface or by phone. When they select a “Call to Book” button on the Payless homepage, they will be connected to Payless’ call center. Links to store location information and maps are available.
Payless has collaborated with Arising Group, a New York-based software development team, to enhance the Payless Web site using Web 2.0 features such as Web Standards and AJAX.
