Penske Customers Use Smartphones to Make Truck Rental Reservations
When Penske customers access PenskeTruckRental.com from their smartphones the site automatically becomes a mobile version.
Penske Truck Rental introduces a new mobile website at http://m.pensketruckrental.com that enables consumers to make truck rental reservations from virtually any smartphone.*
Now, when Penske customers access PenskeTruckRental.com from their smartphones the site automatically becomes a mobile version resulting in an easy-to-use online experience. Penske launched the new mobile website in response to growing demand from its truck rental customers.
"The number of mobile visitors to our consumer truck rental website has tripled in the last year," stated Brandie Searle, Director - Interactive Marketing, Penske Truck Leasing. "With smartphone ownership more than doubling in the last two years the time was right to introduce a mobile version for our customers."
Penske customized the design of its new mobile website to include larger navigational items, simple icons and minimal text to optimize the customer experience in making truck rental reservations.
"Our usability studies indicate our mobile version will greatly reduce the amount of time needed to reserve a Penske moving truck and any other moving accessories and supplies using a smartphone," added Searle.
As an added convenience, the new mobile website also enables consumers to quickly find convenient Penske Truck Rental locations or even contact its 24/7/365 roadside assistance center while moving.
Penske Truck Rental engaged Acquity Group, an industry-leading multi-channel commerce and digital marketing firm based in Chicago, to complete the experience design and front-end development of its new mobile site.
