The days of taking time off work to get the ailing car to or from a dealership or service workshop could soon be over. Sharebox has launched a new around-the-clock digital service station, called the 24/7 ServiceStation, in which
customers can drop off cars for service and pick them up anytime

The new 24/7 ServiceStation basically functions like a computerized service desk in a security approved safe.

Customers use their phone and deposit keys into the station, and if they also require a loaner vehicle, the station will dispense the keys. The only extra step required is to set up the appointment beforehand, which can be done online or with a phone call to the service front desk staff.

When service work is complete, customers receive a text message notifying them that work is done, along with a link for mobile Klarna Checkout of the work if it wasn’t under warranty. Afterwards a security code to use at the station is received. Customers return to the 24/7 ServiceStation to complete the process.

If a loaner car was involved, the station can also facilitate the return, and it will do all of the above at any time, day or night. Furthermore, if customers just need to rent a car for any reason, the service station will handle everything.

The idea behind the 24/7 ServiceStation is to save time for both customers, car dealerships and workshops, as a cost effective step in an automotive world that’s becoming increasingly automated with little-to-no human interaction.

The 24/7 ServiceStation is the first tested and approved solution that comply with EN 1143-1. The security level or resistance grade indicates the type and extent of a safe’s anti-burglary protection. This involves carrying out comprehensive tests with a wide variety of tools to check how long a safe can withstand break-in attempts.

The 24/7 ServiceStation have successfully passed these tests and received the relevant inspection sticker as a quality seal from certification body RISE in Sweden.

RISE has a broad range of services for security products, and cover Swedish Theft Prevention Association (SSF) standards as well as European (EN) standards, with regards to testing, inspection, and certification. As an institute, it has broad expertise in testing, inspection, and certification.

The cabinet is a free-standing safe according to EN 1143-1. It is designed for key-exchange, more specific to store and exchange car-keys. The customer can deliver a car-key and/or pick up a car-key, typically outside a car dealership, workshop or car-rental-facility. The cabinet is connected to the Sharebox back-end Server via internet.
