Silvercar Set to Open Houston Location
Silvercar announces plan to provide its all-Audi car rental service at Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport starting July 1.
Silvercar announced today plans to open its fourth car rental operation at Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport beginning July 1. This automated car rental company provides customers with one model, the Audi A4. Currently, Silvercar operates at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas Love Field Airport and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
"Our customers tell us that intra-Texas travel is important, and Houston Hobby provides that access as a travel hub serving the largest city in Texas,” said Silvercar CEO Luke Schneider. “Plus Hobby features a strong list of carriers including Southwest. Starting and growing in Texas has been integral to the early success Silvercar has experienced, as the state is good for business. It's fantastic to expand our services to reach more travelers. ..."
With headquarters in Austin, Silvercar operates a single make-and-model rental fleet of silver 2013 Audi A4s. All rentals include Google Earth GPS navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio and in-car Wi-Fi.
Silvercar customers can book their Audi rental with the Silvercar app (iOS and Android). Upon arrival, they are valeted by a concierge to the Silvercar facility where they unlock any Silvercar with their smartphone (via a QR code) and drive away. When returning the rental, customers can receive the receipt on their smartphone before even boarding their flight.
Bookings for Houston travel on www.silvercar.com and the Silvercar mobile apps are now available. And Silvercar is currently offering an introductory rate of $75 for weekdays and $50 for weekends.
