At a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Greater Fort Myers (Fla.) Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce, Sixt Rent-a-Car officially opened its 52nd rental car location at the Fort Myers International Airport.
Sixt Rent-a-Car offers affordable luxury car rental service with more than 2,000 locations in over 100 countries. In the U.S. since just 2011, the company is now the 5th largest provider in the US, with 52 locations in 13 states.

The most recent opening in Fort Myers marks the rapidly-growing company’s third grand opening this year.
So far this year, Sixt has opened a new location at Texas’ San Antonio International Airport and moved into an upgraded facility at Florida’s Tampa International Airport.
In 2017, Sixt unveiled a newly-expanded offering at its flagship space in the Miami International Airport and at its Seattle-Tacoma International Airport location, launched a new location at the San Diego International Airport, and moved into its new North American corporate headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Sixt has grown to over 750 employees and serves more than 52 rental locations in California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Washington, Texas, Connecticut, New Jersey, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, and Massachusetts.
Rental operators can now detect and act on speeding while vehicles are still on rent, thereby reducing fines, admin workload, vehicle wear, and safety risks.
The combination brings actionable vehicle insights into PurCo’s PurInspect platform, improving damage detection and operational efficiency for rental fleets.
