Sixt Reveals App for Windows Phone 7 Users
The new app features a number of functions including a QR booking system, station locator and a place for users to store rental information or book new rentals — all in four different languages.
Germany-based car rental company Sixt launched an app for Windows Phone 7 smartphones. The app enables users to reserve Sixt cars in 105 countries around the world.
Through the app, customers can access their personal Sixt profile or company account and manage existing reservations.
A QR booking system is featured on the app for customers to obtain the keys to their rental without any paperwork. Once a user books a car, the system sends a QR code to their smartphones for them to scan at the time of pick-up.
The station locator on the app displays the nearest Sixt station and also features a place/name-based search option. When the app finds a Sixt station, it shows its location, address and operating hours along with a map with the best route to the station.
The new app is also accessible in multiple languages including German, English, French and Spanish.
The app is available for download at Microsoft’s Windows Phone Marketplace.
