Sixt Utilizes Apple ‘Passbook’ Feature for iPhone App
Sixt’s update of its iPhone app features a new function that allows customers to use ‘Passbook’ to store and manage their rental information.
Sixt updated its mobile app to incorporate the Passbook function into its iPhone app, according to an announcement on Nov. 14.
Customers will be able to create their own “passes” for storing and managing all information about their reservations on their iPhones. After reserving a vehicle, customers will be issued a collection pass from the app that they can use with Passbook to look up the date, time and collection location.
The mobile app can also notify the customer when they are in the vicinity of a Sixt service station on the day of their reservation. Users also have access to a specific QR code that can be scanned at the rental service’s counter to complete the transaction quicker.
The app updates the pass automatically if customers make any changes to their reservation.
The updated app, Version 4.3.1, is available in Apple’s App Store.
