In 2015, fleet sales grew to 20% of all auto sales in Mexico. The growth in the Mexican economy is not only with local businesses but also by foreign investments, as a multitude of international companies are building all-new plants in Mexico to export products to the U.S. and other countries in South America, Europe, and Asia.
Mike Antich, editor and associate publisher of Automotive Fleet, a sister fleet publication of Auto Rental News, has put together this assessment of the commercial fleet market in Mexico. There is a summary of the fleet market condition, size of the fleet market, fleet vehicle preferences, the used-vehicle market, interest rates and taxation, and maintenance trends.

At the Latin American Meeting to be held at the 2016 International Car Rental Show, Antich will present the seminar “Trends in U.S. Commercial Fleet Market.” The seminar will provide an analysis of current market conditions, funding and operating cost trends as well as a remarketing forecast and a preview of emerging technologies that will impact fleet management.
