The American Car and Truck Rental Association (ACTRA) has received calls from several states inquiring about the average number of rental days and average number of vehicles per rental entity.
The American Car and Truck Rental Association (ACTRA) has received calls from several states inquiring about the average number of rental days and average number of vehicles per rental entity. The states that have requested this information are Arkansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
There is a concern that states are developing a plan to use this information to increase taxes on the vehicle rental industry. We fear that this is just the beginning; there are sure to be more states following suit.
Please take an active role in searching for information pertaining to where your state stands on this issue. Take this opportunity to challenge your state to look elsewhere for additional funds. The vehicle rental business is a tough industry; additional taxes are the last thing needed.
ACTRA prides itself on keeping its members informed and educated on industry issues that effect their business. ACTRA is the voice in the vehicle rental industry.
