Seven men crashed a stolen car through a Sax Fifth Avenue window in Keystone Crossing, Ind., Monday, making off with $15,000 worth of stolen designer handbags, the Indy Star reports.
After crashing a 2018 Nissan Sentra into the storefront around 3 a.m., the men split up into three different vehicles. Later, a police officer clocked a Nissan Rogue going 80 mph in a 55 mph zone.
A car chase ensued, resulting in stop sticks flattening the Rogue’s tires. The Rogue was later found to have been stolen from the Hertz at the Chicago O’Hare Airport, with two of the alleged thieves inside. One of the men later confessed to his role in the robbery.
It is unclear whether the initial vehicle used in the burglary was stolen from the same location.
