Johannesburg-based Tempest Car Hire has partnered with automobile manufacturer Tata and added Tata’s Bolt hatchbacks to its rental fleet, according to a report by Economic Times.

The Bolt has recently been introduced in South Africa, says the report. Tempest will offer the Bolt rental with 100 kilometers free per day.

The new Bolt has been popular among younger buyers in South Africa because of its affordability and features that include Bluetooth connectivity and a touchscreen infotainment system, says the report.

"We are very pleased to have secured this order as it will mean that many renters countrywide will now have the opportunity to experience the quality and benefits offered in our newest car range, which is particularly well equipped for an entry level model," Kyri Michael, the CEO of Accordian Investments, which markets and distributes Tata cars and light commercial vehicles in South Africa, told Economic Times.
