Once approved by Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority’s Board of Commissioners, Zipcar, Payless Car Rental and Sixt will begin operating at McGhee Tyson Airport near Knoxville, Tenn., according to a report by The Daily Times.
This will bring McGhee Tyson Airport’s car rental options to 11, says the report. Currently, the on-airport rental companies include Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, Hertz, Dollar Rent A Car and Avis Car Rental.

“After a comprehensive bid process, the addition of three new companies to complement the quality rental options already found at the airport creates the perfect combination of rental car opportunities for our guests and passengers,” Howard Vogel, chairman of the airport authority board, said in a statement.
The new car rental companies will add more jobs and increase price competition, says the report.
