Thrifty Added to New Airport in Northwest Florida
Thrifty Car Rental is the latest car rental company to lease space at the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, which is scheduled to open May 23. In addition to Thrifty, six other car rental companies - Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National – are at the airport.
The Panama City Bay County Airport and Industrial District (Airport Authority) agreed to lease space at the new airport to Thrifty Car Rental.
The airport, called the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, is scheduled to begin service May 23.
The addition of Thrifty brings the total number of car rental companies that will be operating in the new airport to seven. The others are: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National.
In addition to the car rental ticketing counters, the 125,000-square-foot passenger terminal has seven gates, two restaurants and two retail shops.
