To kick off the program, Thrifty will offer triple points (225 points per rental) to Travel Awards members who rent a premium, luxury, minivan, convertible or standard-size SUV for two days or longer during the promotional period. The triple-points promotion will take place from Sept. 6, 2006 through Nov. 15, 2006 at all participating Thrifty Car Rental locations worldwide. "ATA Airlines and Thrifty Car Rental are a perfect match," said Brian Carpenter, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Advertising for Thrifty. "ATA's philosophy of providing convenient travel at affordable rates is compatible with Thrifty's value proposition. Consumers will benefit greatly from this relationship."

With ATA's Travel Awards Program, members earn free* travel faster and easier than with any other airline program. Travel Awards Members are awarded points based upon travel frequency and not how far they fly.

Members who book at ata.com earn double points and can earn enough points towards a free* coach roundtrip companion ticket quickly with three qualifying roundtrip tickets. A free* continental U.S. coach roundtrip ticket can be earned easily after six roundtrips.
