TULSA, Okla. -- Thrifty Car Rental recently completed its upgrade on the Amadeus GDS, which will allow travelers and travel agents to access Thrifty's complete inventory of vehicles directly from the company's own database.
The upgrade, dubbed Amadeus Complete Access Plus, provides users with estimated total pricing, including the base rate of the rental plus all taxes and mandatory charges.
"The implementation of Amadeus Complete Access Plus allows us to provide customers and travel agents with the most straightforward display of pricing and inventory available," said Bob DuPont, vice president of reservations for Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. "Not only will customers be able to make a completely informed purchasing decision, but they will get the best car rental value around."
Amadeus Global Travel Distribution is a global distribution system (GDS) and technology provider, serving the travel industry. Its GDS data processing center serves 64,500 travel agency locations and more than 10,000 airline sales offices, which together total more than 290,000 points of sale located in over 210 markets worldwide.
