Passengers arriving at Tucson International Airport now have another option for ground transportation to get to their next destination. Turo, a peer-to-peer car sharing service, is coming to Tucson International Airport.
Tucson International Airport officials recently announced the new permit, noting the airport has a need for more mobility options.
Passengers can connect with Tucson, Arizona, auto owners who advertise on the Turo platform to reserve a vehicle for a specific length of time. Car owners set the rates, but follow guidelines established by Turo.
Turo guidelines and restrictions, drop off and pick up instructions for the airport include:
Vehicle exchanges must occur within an authorized drop-off location
Passengers who book through Turo can either pickup their vehicle in the Hourly Lot, Parking Garage (level 2) or the uncovered Economy Lot
Occasionally, a passenger may be met alongside the app-based ride services curb by the car owner for a drop-off.
