U-Save Car & Truck Rental recently opened its in-terminal operation at Forli Airport which is in the Emilia-Romagna region in northern Italy.

The U-Save master franchise for Italy was acquired by Gruppo Morini earlier this year, which is a family-owned automotive retailer and one of the oldest and most well-established dealership groups in Italy. It has represented major motor manufacturers such as Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Honda, Subaru, Cadillac, Corvette, and Infiniti for more than 40 years.

Seasoned industry expert Pierre Bertoli, who has extensive career within the Italian car rental sector, heads up the franchise, having spent over 18 years with Italian rental company Autovia.

“This opening marks the third new destination outside the U.S. since our acquisition of the brand late last year, with Jamaica, Jordan and now Italy joining the international network,” U-Save International's President Richard Lowden said in a news release. "We look forward to announcing further openings within the Italian market in the months to come."

Bertoli said, "It is great to be welcoming our first customer that came through our valued broker partner, Do You Spain."

U-Save, which operates a global car rental franchise system, will exhibit at the World Travel Market in London Nov. 6-8.
