U-Save Car & Truck Rental recently launched its second franchise location in Turkey at Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW), marking another rapid expansion within the Turkish market.

Following the introduction of the U-Save brand at Nevşehir Airport in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey, the new Sabiha Gökçen location further strengthens U-Save’s operations in the country. The franchise has been acquired by Utku Basmihcilar, a respected professional in the car rental sector who will lead operations with his team.

Sabiha Gökçen International Airport is Turkey's second-busiest airport and one of the fastest-growing in Europe, often ranking among the top 10 busiest. It serves as a leading hub for the discount carrier, Pegasus Airlines.

The complements the U-Save Turkey franchise under the leadership of master franchise holders Volkan Büyükçolpan and Cagatay Kunac, who established the brand and developed a strong franchise network across the country.

“Signing the contract for the Sabiha Gökçen franchise gives us great pleasure to embark on this journey with Utku Basmihcilar and his experienced team in the car rental sector," Büyükçolpan said in a March 9 news release. "We sincerely believe this collaboration will create value for both sides.”

Added Richard Lowden, president of U-Save International: "Volkan and Cagatay have demonstrated impressive momentum in developing the market, and we are pleased to welcome Utku Basmihcilar to the U-Save family. Istanbul is a key gateway for international and domestic travel, and this location represents an important step in strengthening our presence in the region."
