UFODrive Arrives in Spain
The first opening of a new ‘UFOBay’ in Spain, located at the Plaza de Colón in Madrid, allows travelers to rent an EV 24/7 via UFODrive's mobile app.

Thanks to many recent expansions across the globe, UFODrive now operates in over 20 locations in Europe.

European emobility provider UFODrive announced in a statement the opening of UFODrive Madrid, the company’s first launch in the Spanish market. Visitors to the Plaza de Colón location can book and drive EVs including the Tesla Model S, Jaguar I-Pace, and Audi E-Tron using UFODrive’s iPhone or Android app.
“The future mobility experience is all-digital and EV-centric, and we are proud to launch UFODrive Madrid,” said Trevor Toner, managing director of Rental, UFODrive in the statement. “The opening of our very first Spanish UFOBay delivers on our vision to create a sustainable, eco-conscious business, and an incredible customer experience ... Spain is a key market for us and there is a clear need for a modern EV rental service in Madrid. We could not have selected a better location than the Mobility Hub in Plaza de Colón."
Earlier this year, the company received a $19 million Series A financing round, co-led by Hertz and Centares. UFODrive currently operates in San Francisco in the U.S. and in about 20 locations across Europe — including London, Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and Dublin — with plans for further expansion and new locations in a number of other major Spanish cities later this year.
UFODrive was recently named the winner of a Gold Stevie Award in the ‘Company of the Year — Transportation’ category in the 19th Annual International Business Awards and has been shortlisted for two National Sustainability Awards.
