Partnering with UhaulCarShare, Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., announced the addition of a Ford F-150 pickup truck to its car-sharing fleet of Toyota Priuses.
Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., has expanded its UhaulCarShare service with the addition of a 2012 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
After signing up via the company’s website, students, faculty and staff can reserve the vehicle at an hourly rate starting at $4.95 plus $0.59 per mile. In addition, UhaulCarShare also offers 180 free miles with an hourly rate starting at $8.50 per hour.
Starting its partnership with UhaulCarShare in 2012, Eckerd College currently has two 2012 Toyota Prius vehicles available on campus.
“Eckerd College has been delighted with UhaulCarShare from the first day the program became available to the campus community,” said Frederick Sabota, associate dean of students and director of campus activities. “The program solved the long-standing issue of providing transportation to students who do not own a vehicle to travel off campus. … Eckerd College is excited about the continued growth of this essential asset to the community.”
