ettler has been named director of learning and education at WTP Advisors, a global tax and business advisory firm.
With over 25 years of experience in international tax, Mettler formerly led PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) international tax learning and education program.
“We are privileged to have Kathi join WTP,” said Michael Minihan, co-founder and partner at WTP Advisors. “With Kathi on board, we’re ensuring that we continue to enhance our trainings, furthering our evolution of the best training for our staff and raising their level of value added to clients.”
In addition to teaching, Mettler will also engage in client service projects and business development at WTP. She will develop a new curriculum for professional staff that all tax associates will complete, says the company.
“Unlike the Big Four, at WTP, there are no learning curve costs that are passed to clients, and this precept mirrors the value that I place on the importance of relationships,” said Mettler. “It is connections and trust that help give clients' comfort that WTP is the best advisor for their needs in that they want to create a long-term relationship that is more of a partnership, instead of merely a service provider relationship.”
WTP Advisors works on a like-kind exchange program, a tax program for offsetting costs on vehicle inventory.
