Partnering with SF-Marin Food Bank, Zimride by Enterprise is donating $1 for every ride posted during the month of December.
“As families gather this month in the places they call home to celebrate, we wanted to show our support for the place where the Zimride story began: San Francisco,” said Ryan Johnson, vice president at Enterprise.
Zimride, a service of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, is a web-based ride-matching and carpooling network in North America and has served more than 350,000 people through a network of more than 130 universities, cities and corporate campuses.
Rides posted to or from any location within Zimride’s national network qualify, and every dollar donated allows the SF-Marin Food Bank to distribute enough groceries for three meals, according to Zimride. The Food Bank supports 450 community organizations, and each week helps serve 144,000 people throughout the area.
“Zimride members throughout the country can help us give back by posting their ride,” said Food Bank Spokesperson Blain Johnson. “We hope that many Zimride members share their rides — and a meal — with others this holiday season.”
