Zipcar has expanded its carsharing service to seven more U.S. airports. With this expansion, Zipcar is now operating at more than 50 airport locations in the U.S. Canada and the United Kingdom.
The newest locations include Augusta Regional Airport, Griffiss International Airport (Rome, N.Y.), Monterey Regional Airport, Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport, Orland International Airport, Tampa International Airport and Tri-State Airport (Huntington, W.V.).
"Zipcar makes it easier than ever to live without owning a car, and that includes providing a simple and convenient way to get around when you travel by air," said Kaye Ceille, Zipcar president. "Whether you are in town for a short business trip, or you're stuck at an airport for a long layover, Zipcar offers the flexibility and freedom to explore the surrounding area on your time and in your way."
A variety of Zipcars — including the Volkswagen Golf, Toyota Prius and Ford Focus — are located in Zipcar-branded parking spaces at airports. Exact locations are provided when booking a vehicle, according to the company.
Zipcars at the new airports are available now for reservation. For more information, visit www.zipcar.com/airports.
