Zipcar Introduces Two Summer Offers in Toronto
Toronto members will have access to the 'Zipvan' cargo van service and a monthly membership plan.
Zipcar launched two of its services in Toronto for the upcoming summer months. The "Zipvan" cargo van service will be available for members, as well as a monthly membership plan, according to a company announcement on June 6.
The "Zipvan" cargo van service will include 15 Ford E-150 full-size cargo vans available for hourly or daily use with rates starting at $14.75 per hour and $104 per day. Prices include gas, insurance, parking and roadside assistance for all vehicles in the Zipcar fleet. The vans are equipped with a back-up camera and more than 6.5 cubic meters of cargo space.
In addition to the vans, Zipcar is bringing a new membership option to Toronto customers. Those opting to join the six-month minimum monthly membership will pay a $30 application fee and $6 per month after that.
Members can add an additional member to their account for $3 per month, and can switch to an annual plan at any time.
"We hope the new 'pay per month' option will benefit those seeking a lower initial cost to join, as well as those looking for access to a set of wheels only on a seasonal basis without an annual committment," said Zipcar Toronto General Manager Christian Demers.
