Boston-based Zipcar announced it is launching its carsharing service for the first time in Hawaii in Waikiki, according to an article by Pacific Business News.
According to the article, the Waikiki location debuted with two vehicles at the Pacific Beach Hotel. Zipcar members can rent a Ford Escape or Toyota Corolla by the hour or day.
The article reported Zipcar chose to expand to Waikiki because of its mixture of business, residential and tourism in the area.
