U.S. car rental franchise brand U-Save recently launched its latest U.S. operation with the sale of their franchise at the Houston International Airport. 

Mateen Shah, an independent operator looking to further expand his business, acquired the franchise, formally signed in April. U-Save Car & Truck Rental and parent company Green Motion International were sponsors and exhibitors at this year's International Car Rental Show (ICRS) in Las Vegas where they connected with their franchise partners.

"I am incredibly pleased that Mateen and his team took the decision to join us. Houston is an incredibly important U.S. location and our partnership with Mateen represents a fantastic addition to our growing network in the U.S.," said U-Save President Richard Lowden in a news release.

Mateen added, "During the ICRS I had the opportunity not only to meet further members of the U-Save leadership team but also many of their franchisees and received the warmest of welcomes to the U-Save family."

U-Save which was established in 1979 in the U.S. and was acquired by the international car rental brand Green Motion in 2022. Since the acquisition the brand has developed in further locations in the U.S. domestic market, and expanded its international operations from seven countries to 18. 

U-Save will be exhibiting at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai on May 7-9.
