Executive Car Rental announced it will begin providing rental cars free of charge in Metro Detroit, Michigan to all front-line workers of the coronavirus pandemic. Executive Car Rental will take reservations for such requests through April 30 through their Customer Care Department.
In addition, while supplies last, Executive Car Rental will provide respirator masks and a box of gloves per rental vehicle, beginning with in-hospital healthcare workers. This program will fully launch April 8 at 11a.m. ET at the Detroit Metro Airport location.
Mark Waad, president & CEO of Executive Car Rental, alongside his senior management team will be on site to ensure everyone who qualifies as a “Front Line Hero” is able to get a vehicle quickly.
“With states like Michigan showing exponential increases in the number of COVID-19 cases, we understand that our front like workers may not want to use their personal vehicles that their families may also need at some point,” Waad said in a statement. “It’s times like these, when everyone really needs to consider how they can contribute however they can, and as a car rental company, we want to help so we launched the ‘Front Line Heroes’ rental concierge service."
