For the fourth consecutive year, Avis was named “North America's Leading Car Hire” and the “World's Leading Business Car Rental Company.” In addition, for the second year in a row, Avis was named the “Caribbean's Leading Car Hire.”

"Votes were cast by more than 180,000 travel professionals around the world and Avis has proven to be the best of the best. The recognition is a testament to the hard work of the management team and staff at Avis who, despite challenges which have impacted the travel and tourism industry over the past 12 months, continued to deliver above and beyond the call of duty," said Graham Cooke, president and founder of the World Travel Awards.

"Receiving these awards makes all of us proud," said Tom Gartland, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Avis Budget Group, parent company of Avis Rent A Car. "Travel professionals are vital to the industry and our business, and their confidence in Avis and its employees is very rewarding."
