Avis Receives Top Honors at World Travel Awards
Avis earns recognition as the leading North American and worldwide rental company.
Avis Rent A Car received multiple accolades at the 2009 World Travel Awards, which recognize excellence in the global travel and tourism industry.
Winners are chosen by travel professionals across the globe for excellence in employee and customer satisfaction, business performance, product expansion, innovation and creativity.
For the fourth consecutive year, Avis was named “North America's Leading Car Hire” and the “World's Leading Business Car Rental Company.” In addition, for the second year in a row, Avis was named the “Caribbean's Leading Car Hire.”
"Votes were cast by more than 180,000 travel professionals around the world and Avis has proven to be the best of the best. The recognition is a testament to the hard work of the management team and staff at Avis who, despite challenges which have impacted the travel and tourism industry over the past 12 months, continued to deliver above and beyond the call of duty," said Graham Cooke, president and founder of the World Travel Awards.
