During a panel discussion at the recent Global Business Travel Association convention, Enterprise Holdings Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Christine Taylor answered the question: Is bigger better in the global travel industry?

Taylor, joined by Best Western Hotels and Resorts President and CEO David Kong, as well as Egencia President Rob Greyber, focused on the strategic advantages of the growth and scale of the industry — such as building brand awareness and preference — but also the new challenges it can create.

“All of that organic growth — along with a very large acquisition in there — gives us access to global and diverse customers,” Taylor said.

The diverse customer-base Taylor emphasized pushes Enterprise Holdings’ innovations, which is why the company takes a customer-centric approach to implementing new technologies.

“That diverse customer base gives us the foundation to then grow,” Taylor stated.  However, she also stressed, there are opportunities and challenges that arise from such growth: “Our customers push us to innovate every single day.”

Enterprise Holdings announced during the convention its new partnership with mobile cloud software technology provider Deem. The partnership will allow business travelers to China to book National Car Rental brand’s new “National Car and Driver” service either directly through their travel management partner, according to a press release.

The company also announced the launch of an upgraded National website and mobile app, which will provide users with a more travel-friendly and accessible platform.
