Hertz Rent-A-Car UAE, part of the Al-Futtaim Automotive Group, has updated its rental car fleet with more than 1,600 new vehicles, including an expanded selection of models known for low carbon dioxide emissions and high fuel economy.
Vehicles include the Toyota Yaris, Toyota Corolla and Honda Jazz, among others, says the company.
According to ranking by the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE), an independent initiative measuring vehicle fuel economy, these are the most fuel-efficient vehicles in their class.
“The latest fleet replenishment program is based on two of our key strategic pillars: providing great value car rental for customers and supporting the continued ambition of operating the most sustainable business in the car rental sector,” said Neil Parkins, general manager of fleet operations for Hertz UAE. “Hertz is always looking for opportunities to improve and grow our sustainability efforts, so we're excited to add additional fuel-efficient rental options to our existing fleet in response to recent changing needs from customers.”
