BMW’s ReachNow carsharing service is now offering new long-term rates for weekend trips and business travelers in the Seattle area, according to a report by BMW.

The long-term rates apply to customers who want to rent one of the 520 free-floating vehicles for up to five days, says the report.

When BMW launched the ReachNow service in Seattle in May, the rates were set at three hours ($50), 12 hours ($80), and 24 hours ($110). The rates run at 49 cents per minute, according to the report.

With the expanded service, the price caps now begin at $180 for two days, $250 for three days, $300 for four days, and $350 for five days, says the report.

Although the price of a BMW shared vehicle is higher than traditional car rental services, BMW says the program offers convenience such as free parking in city spots, according to the report.

ReachNow’s Seattle fleet includes the BMW i3, the BMW 3 Series, and the MINI Cooper.
