SIXT USA this week announced the opening of six new off-airport locations as it rolls out a growing retail footprint across the nation.

The six locations are: Pasadena, California; Cherry Creek, Colorado; Doral, Florida; Chicago, Illinois; Portland, Oregon; and at Washington D.C. Union Station.

The opening of these new branches follows the recent opening of SIXT’s new Salt Lake City International Airport branch — the company’s first location in the state of Utah — and the opening of five downtown branches last October in Boston, Fort Worth, Houston, Jersey City and Toronto.

The opening of the company’s new Pasadena, California and Hyatt Regency Chicago branches comes on the heels of the company’s announcement of multi-year partnerships with the iconic Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers.

The Cherry Creek branch lies in the affluent Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver known for its vibrant restaurants, cafes, art galleries and shopping. SIXT’s Doral branch is located at the InterContinental Hotel Doral near Miami International Airport and expands the company’s presence in the greater Miami area.

The Portland branch is in the heart of the city’s downtown hotel district and is SIXT’s first downtown location in this growing Pacific Northwest market. And SIXT’s new Washinton D.C. Union Station branch is in the nation’s 10th-busiest rail station which serves about five million passengers per year.

“Continuing to expand our network so we have the right footprint and mix of airport and off-airport locations is essential to making SIXT a more convenient choice for new and existing customers and growing our business,” said Tom Kennedy, President, SIXT USA & Canada, in a Jan. 25 news release. “We are bringing SIXT’s premium car rental experience to more customers through this diverse mix of downtown, hotel and rail station locations.”

In addition, by launching operations in Canada in 2022, SIXT is tapping into another billion-dollar market that also offers potential for synergies with its U.S. business.
