Tyler Pounds Regional Airport to Build New Rental Car Facility
The new facility will include a car wash, maintenance facility and additional parking spaces for the five car rental companies located at the Texas airport.
The Tyler City Council in Texas approved financing for a new rental car facility at the Tyler Pounds Regional Airport, according to TylerPaper.com on Feb. 14.
The new facility will feature a car wash, maintenance facility and additional parking spaces so rental cars could be more easily processed. Currently, the five rental companies at the airport use a facility located on the opposite side of the airport to wash and process their vehicles.
The $1.1 million project will be funded by the Customer Facility Charge that was enacted in July 2010 for maintenance of rental car infrastructure and improvements at the airport.
